A letter from Karim
I want to take a moment to share a little about myself, where I come from, what shaped me, and what keeps me moving forward.
I didn’t attend an Ivy league University. Instead I went to the school of my father, Alberto Marucchi. A larger than life figure with blinding charisma that could silence any room no matter who sat at the table. He was a photographer, movie producer, architect, and businessman; he was a millionaire, he was penniless. A true renaissance man with an addiction to adrenaline, he loved the art of the deal, the patience of the groundwork, the painstaking negotiations, and the thrill of the close.
Being his youngest son, I had a front row seat to an education that no University could have offered. What I didn’t learn from my father, I learned on my own from nearly 30 years working in technology and riding the waves of the ups and the downs, the success and the failures. Along the way, I’ve grown within this amazing digital community surrounded by friends, colleagues, and clients that lift me up. Best of all, I’m grounded here in Snellville, GA with my wife, three dogs, a cat named Buzz and an opossum named Grady, who guards the yard while we sleep. It’s been one wild ride so far and I look forward to what the next 30 years will bring us.
